Razer’s new Blackshark V2 X wired headset aims to be awesome bang for your gaming buck at RM349
The successor to the original Blackshark launched in 2012, the new Razer Blackshark V2 wired gaming headset is a sonic powerhouse for gamers with an equally princely price tag at RM599 but for those on a tighter budget, Razer has something that offers much of the same power but at a more reasonable price tag. Meet the Blackshark V2 X.
The new Razer Blackshark V2 X packs some of their best tech with some minor trade offs compared to the higher end Razer Blackshark V2 which still allow it to deliver lustrously rich 7.1 surround sound along with with over-ear memory foam cushions and a light 240g that ensures comfort over extended gaming sessions.
In order to offer it at a more affordable price point, Razer Blackshark V2 X ditches the Titanium-coated diaphragm in its pricier sibling but retains a similarly sized and teched up Triforce 50mm drivers that ensure excellent audio quality with good bass and detailed mids, lows and highs.
For clear voice comms to teammates and to the opposition to send pithy remarks, the Blackshark V2 X retains the same Hyperclear Cardioid mic but it is non-removable and also omits the USB sound card with input solely via a 3.55mm audio jack versus the option to to connect to sources via a USB Type-A in the Blackshark V2. The Razer Blackshark V2 X also ditches THX Spatial Audio too.
Razer Blackshark V2 X Availability
All this means that you’re getting most of the primary capabilities that the pricier BlackShark V2 has but at a more reasonable price point of RM349.
The Razer Blackshark V2 X gaming headphone will be available from July 30th onwards online at www.razerzone.com and at select retailers in Malaysia from August 3rd onwards.
