Razer Kaira X gaming headphones aim to rock your world for RM300

If you’re looking for an affordable pair of wired headphones for your gaming console, rejoice as Razer has just launched the affordable Kaira X for the PlayStation and the Xbox that aim to offer a lot of sonic punch for a modest price point of RM299.90.

The Razer Kaira X comes in two variants for the Xbox and the PlayStation that are functionally similar and are effectively interchangeable with each other save that they all sport colourways that match their associated consoles. The Kaira X for Xbox comes in black, white, Shock Blue, Pulse Red and a greenish looking Electric Volt colourways while the Kaira X for Playstation comes in black with white and blue trim in a paint job akin to the PS5 DualSense controller.

Aesthetics aside, the Kaira X kicks out audio via a pair of 50mm TriForce sound drivers akin to the Razer Blackshark V2 X  capable of good frequency separation to ensure crisp highs, clear mids and thumpy bass for immersive gaming. Each can is also plushly upholstered in what Razer calls Flowknit Memory Foam Ear cushions along with the headband. 

As mentioned earlier, the Kaira X requires a 3.5mm connection as it’s not wired though this also means that you can use it with other devices with an audio jack like some phones and, of course, cross platform compatibility.

For in-game comms, it features a boom-mounted Razer HyperClear Cardioid microphone with a focused pick-up pattern that emphasises your voice while minimising background audio. The left can also feature a volume control dial and a mute button for intuitive access even amidst an intensive firefight.
