New Razer Edge Android gaming handheld revealed at RazerCon 2022 priced from US$399.99
Razer’s eponymous RazerCon 2022 gaming festival revealed a slew of their latest gaming gear with the most unique being their new Android gaming handheld dubbed the Razer Edge that will arrive in the United States next year with prices starting from US$399.99 for the WiFi only model.
What is the Razer Edge?
The Razer Edge looks somewhat like their Razer Kishi attachment with a phone stuck in between at first blush but it’s an entirely different kettle of fish. It features a 6.8-inch FHD+ (2,400 x 1080 pixels) display with a 144Hz refresh rate, runs on the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 processor with Android 12 running the the hood, packs 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB of storage and will feature a WiFi only variant and a 5G-capable variant.
The controls feature all of Razer’s customary embellishments including microswitches for the face buttons and D-Pad as well as their Razer HyperSense haptic feedback for superior tactility. Keeping the whole affair powered is a 5,000mAh battery.
How much is the Razer Edge?
There’s no firm launch dates beyond its US appearance in January 2023 next year and no pricing details yet for the 5G variant but the WiFi only version will run buyers US$399.99 which works out to RM1,880.
