New Razer Joro keyboard and Basilisk Mobile mouse aim to redefine portability for gaming gear

Mention Razer and you’d likely recall their blinged up, RGB-laden keyboards and other gear that are typically intended for desktop use but their new line-up looks like they’re breaking into a new area of endeavour – highly mobile portable gaming gear. Enter the new Razer Joro wireless keyboard and the new Razer Basilisk Mobile gaming mouse, both of which are built to be light, compact and easy to stuff into a backpack or whatnot for productivity or gaming on the go, whichever suits your fancy.

Razer Basilisk Mobile specs

In essence, the Razer Basilisk Mobile is a more compact variant of the base Razer Basilisk that has been lightened down to just 76g and sized down to easily fit into a pocket while retaining the broad design highlights of the series, including its distinctive thumb rest. On paper, the Razer Basilisk Mobile offers up to 105 hours of battery life, is wireless Bluetooth, 2.4GHz vi a dongle or it can be hooked up via a USB cable to a PC in wired mode, offers 10 customisable controls including a scroll wheel and significant customisability for macros and buttons via their Razer Synapse 4 app.

To ensure quality, the mouse relies on a Razer Focus X 18K optical sensor with 99.4% resolution accuracy, uses Razer Optical Mouse Gen-3 switches that offer a 90 million click lifecycle and has both Free-spin and Tactile Cycling for fast, precise control. 

Razer Joro keyboard specs

In the case of the Razer Joro wireless keyboard, you get a slim, low-profile gaming keyboard with single-zone  Razer Chroma RGB lighting that is just 16.5mm thin while weighing just 374g while featuring Razer Snap Tap for faster input activation between two keys and full macro configuration via the Razer Synapse 4 app. It also supports macOS, iPadOS and iOS devices and also has a CoPilot key for Microsoft laptops. On paper, it offers up to 1,800 hours of battery life.

In terms of pricing, the Razer Joro keyboard is available priced at RM649 while the Razer Basilisk Mobile doesn’t have a Malaysia price just yet but is officially priced at US89.99 which works out to about RM387. For more details check out https://www.razer.com/
