Razer’s new Blade Pro gaming notebook is looking pretty sharp
Razer has just announced their next uber gaming rig in the form of the Razer Blade Pro. While gaming notebooks are usually massive in size, weigh and girth unless they adopt unorthodox solutions like docks and the like, the Razer Blade Pro still manages to cram everything into a casing that is is two inches thick while weighing 3.54 kilos which still still makes it man portable after a fashion. It comes with a 17.3-inch UHD, 3,840 x 2,160 LED backlit touch display that offers 100% Adobe RGB colour accuracy, an Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080 card and your choice of three storage configurations – a lone 512GB SSD, two 512GB SSDs in a RAID 0 configuration for a total of 1TB of storage and a whopping 2TB of storage via two 1TB PCie M.2 drives.
The mechanical keyboard on the Razer Blade Pro comes with a trackpad, backlighting and the ability to control the built-in cooling fan. It also features anti-ghosting on the keys in you’re prone to button mashing. Connectivity is top notch with a trio of USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0, a card reader and a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port. It also has what they call Killer DoubleShot Pro tech which consists of Killer E2400 (Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000) connectivity and Killer Wireless-AC 1535 (essentially Wi-Fi /AC with Bluetooth 4.1) connectivity.
Cooling on the Razer Pro is exceptional as they’ve managed to create the world’s thinnest vapor chamber cooling solution that spreads heat evenly throughout the rig. Combined with a custom fan design and a dynamic heat exchanger, the Razor Blade Pro is able to take you to gaming glory without cooking off midway. The Razer Blade Pro will ship in November for the USA and Europe and will retail for US$3,699 which is about RM15,527. For more details swing by Razer’s official site here.
