Senheng App data reveals interesting shift in consumer spending habits

Insights from the Senheng App for 2024
In a briefing by Senheng about the Senheng App, the brand revealed an increase in app downloads with a twofold increase between Q1 2023 to Q1 2024 with a threefold increase in Senheng PlusOne Membership registrations. This uptick in downloads and membership registrations indicates Malaysians have a robust desire for online convenience and rewarding experiences. Even with challenging economic conditions, membership growth and app adoption for the Senheng App remain strong.
Deeper insight into data from the Senheng App yields interesting insight especially for the app’s S-Coin which can be used for discounts and other bonuses in the Senheng App. Between Q2 2023 to Q1 2024, there was a 23% increase in S-Coin collection, demonstrating that shoppers are leveraging loyalty programmes to offset rising costs. There was also a 60% increase in S-Coin users from Q1 2023 to Q1 2024, emphasising the programme’s value in daily life.
