Sime Darby Oils fetes underprivileged children for Ramadan with sumptuous buka puasa feast
Sime Darby Oils (SDO), a fully owned subsidiary of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad’s (SDP) feted invited guests and the residents of Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari orphanage with a sumptuous buka puasa feast that featured local delicacies made by five B40 entrepreneurs which are Najanootes Apam Balik, Cendol KL Katering, Putu Bambu Kak Nor, Eatsammo Dumplings and Kak Nor Kitchen Laksa.
The the residents of the orphanage were gifted goodie bags that contained tote bags, notebooks illustrated by local artist Abdul Rashid Mohn Noor and cute animal plushies produced by SDO in collaboration with Zoo Negara, RM2,500 in duit raya to the residents of the orphanage along with a generous cheque worth RM15,000 to the orphanage to celebrate the month of Ramadan.

For the uninitiated, SDO manufactures a host of palm oil based products including Alif brand margarine and palm-based cooking oil, the Sunbeam range of oils, Natrieo Vitamin E capsules and Elaiese Red Palm Fruit Oils.
Asmanira Mohd Ramly, the founder of Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari said, “As caretakers of these children, it is our hope that they do not feel left out in experiencing the traditions of Ramadan and Syawal, just like other more fortunate children.
