The game is a first-person, action-adventure developed by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney that is built using the Snowdrop engine. The following images are screencapped from the official first look trailer.

There’s little to infer on in the Avatar Frontiers of Pandora trailer but it does show plenty of tempting aspects of the game. Parts of it take place in a first person view and according to the official blurb, you play as one of the Na’vi and then putter across the Western Frontier, a part of Pandora not covered in the movies and then raise merry hell with the human RDA grunts stationed in that part of the world.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora AMP

The first look trailer for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora shows some of the characteristic fauna of Pandora including their aerial rides and local equivalent of horses including some megafauna and a short peek at the RDA base.

The design of their Amplified Mobility Units  (AMP) powered exoskeletons once donned by the infamous Colonel Quaritch (RIP) look rather different with an odd dual rear exhaust assembly on the upper backplate.

The trailer also involves two Samson-class aerodynes in a short dogfight with the Na’vi that involve rockets, ship-mounted machine guns and a door side gunner, all of whom get eviscerated or otherwise kebabbed by arrows.

Comparisons to in-movie designs look relatively similar though there were no close-ups for the side-mounted machine guns or other ordnance.
