You can now top up your game credit at KK Super Mart outlets via UniPin nationwide
The ubiquitous KK Super Marts that are on almost every street and town in Malaysia now have a new service available especially for gamers – the chance to top up in-game credit and purchase vouchers via UniPin as the brand has appointed KK Super Mart as their official retailer in Malaysia.
For the uninitiated, UniPin is a payment gateway that allows gamers to purchase a variety of in-game top ups and vouchers such as Steam Wallet codes, Nintendo eShop cards, credit on Battle.net, Karma Koins, GoCash Game Cards and more. Customers at KK Mart can simply walk in, select their favourite game top-up and then purchase it at the counter in seconds with cash, making purchases effortlessly easy.
To usher in the introduction of UniPin, you’re able to get a free 10% additional top-up credit from 7 to 21 September 2019 when you top-up your credit into your UniPin ewallet which can then be converted to the game of your choice at any KK Super Mart.
Currently, the gaming industry is worth USD$180.1 billion and UniPin is getting in on the action in a big way with Malaysia being the third country that they are establishing presence in after the Philippines and Indonesia. To date, UniPin is Indonesia’s largest gaming payment gateway.
“We have identified Malaysia as among the fastest growing mobile gaming markets in Southeast Asia. Therefore, it only makes sense to expand our digital journey here after Indonesia and the Philippines. We hope through our exclusive partnership with KK SUper Mart will enable us to cater to the growth of online gamers in this country. We are also eyeing other countries to spread our influence in the region such as Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand,” said Ashadi Ang, CEO of Unipin.
“ We are beyond honoured to welcome UniPin to Malaysian shores. The KK Group of Companies has built a strong household name of KK Super Mart, a 24-hour convenience store chain in Malaysia, serving over 9,000 daily essential products across 400 outlets to date. As a company that continuously responds to modernisation and current lifestyle trends, we have also launched the KK Concept Store in the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur recently. The concept store is a game changer for KK SUper Mart as it offers over 100 food choices of ready-to-eat and fresh food as well as a cosy cafe that consumers can hang out 24/7,” said founder and group executive chairman of KK Group of companies, Datuk Seri KK Chai.
The establishment of UniPin at KK Marts nationwide in Malaysia also coincides with the launch of the Unipin KK Super Mart Cup 2019 e-sports tournament that will be held from September till October 2019 for a host of popular games including Dota 2, Free Fire, PUBG mobile and Tekken 7 with the winner granted the chance to compete in the South East Asia Cyber Arena (SEACA) 2019 organised by UniPin.
