Windows 11 – Dell assures that all laptops and PCs sold at their online storefront will run the new OS
Microsoft has made Windows 11 official and like any software update, it comes with a minimum set of hardware requirements. With everyone collectively freaking out on whether their existing hardware works with Windows 11, Dell has assured that all the laptops and PCs sold on their online store will meet the requirements to run Windows 11 out of the box.
In a blogpost, Rahul Tikoo, Senior Vice President, Client Product Group, Dell Technologies assured Dell customers that all the gear available on Dell’s online store is compatible with Windows 11. “...you can continue buying our Windows-based PCs with the confidence that you’ll be offered a free upgrade to Windows 11 after it’s available. So, no need to wait if you’re eyeing a back-to-school PC or treating yourself and/or a loved one to a new device,” says Rahul.
Rahul adds that PCs remain the primary choice for those who need to stay connected or work from anywhere with nearly 1 million PCs sold every day and IDC forecasting 18.2% growth for the PC market in 2021 based on a report by IDC.
In his post, Rahul further elaborates on several ideal choices from Dell’s online store that will be available with Windows 11 after it is released such as the XPS 13 series that start from RM5,399, the new Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 priced at RM7,699 and the premium Latitude 9420 that will cost RM8,531.52.
Windows 11 – Dell laptops that will run Microsoft’s upcoming OS update in Malaysia
We’ve tested many of Dell’s best hardware over the years and their XPS 13 series remains the pinnacle of portable premium performance for 13-inch ultraportables.
We’ve yet to field test the Alienware m15 Ryzen R5 but it looks very promising indeed for gamers looking for power and performance in a portable form factor. We did however test Alienware M17 R2 awhile back and it remains one of the most desirable gaming laptops that money can buy.
The Dell Latitude series laptops are primarily intended for the corporate elite on account of their robust security measures and high-end metal chassis.
We had the privilege of field testing several of them like the progenitor of the series, the Latitude 9510 that debuted at CES 2020 and the Latitude 7320 convertible. With the addition of Windows 11, these offerings look all the more tempting.
