HTC U Ultra Sapphire Glass edition with a whopping 128GB storage is yours for RM2,999
Most flagship phones cap out their onboard storage at 64GB but HTC’s latest addition to their line-up, the U Ultra Sapphire Glass edition offers enough space to conceivably cram in enough movies for a round the world trip and then some. As you’d surmise from the name, the U Ultra Sapphire Glass edition paves the front touchscreen with tough sapphire glass for added protection while retaining the fetching mirrored reflective finish on its rear though it only comes in blue.
The biggest change to the U Ultra Sapphire Glass edition is, naturally, the addition of a massive 128GB of onboard storage that is further expandable via a hybrid SIM card slot. The rest of the hardware is similar to a stock HTC U Ultra: you get a 5.7-inch LCD with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution along with a separate 2-inch notifications perched on top of the main display, 4GB RAM, Android Nougat running on a Snapdragon 821 processor and a rear 12-MP Ultrapixel camera with optical image stabilisation, an F/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus.
The front selfie camera lacks of some of the hardware embellishments of the rear camera but has a larger 16-MP sensor with UltraPixel tech for better lower light snaps. The battery on both standard and the Sapphire Glass edition is still 3,000mAh. The tougher display and enhanced storage of the U Ultra Sapphire Glass edition clocks in at RM2,999, which is RM400 more than the standard U Ultra which enjoyed a price revision to RM2,599. Both phones are available at all HTC dealers nationwide. For more details on HTC check out their official site here and their official Facebook page here.
