Mcdonald’s new gourmet Smoky Grilled Beef burger is coming to town

Barring the annual anticipated of the Prosperity Burger sometime in January every year, the vast majority of their offerings are predictable affairs through the year though they’ve just unveiled two new new upmarket offerings that will be permanent additions to their menu nationwide – the Smoky Grilled Beef burger and the Hot N’ Crispy Chicken burger.

The new Smoky Grilled Beef burger has a juicy beef patty smothered with smoky chipotle sauce dressing and is garnished with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and melted cheddar in a sesame bun.

The Hot N’ Crispy Chicken Burger has a deep fried whole chicken thigh covered with a tangy Jalapeno sauce topped with melted cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomatoes in a cornmeal bun.

Both burgers will hit stores nationwide on 26 March with both burgers retailing for RM12.95 a la carte and 14.95 if you toss in the usual value meal set with fries and a soda. On paper, the Smoky Grilled Beef burger looks like a more premium variant of a Quarter Pounder burger while the Hot N’ Crispy Chicken Burger looks like an ungunned Chicken McDeluxe; both look like quite a tastier step up from the existing offerings on the menu and we’re looking forward to sample them both when they hit stores next week.
