Upgraded Huawei MateBook 14 2022 on preorder in Malaysia at a special RM2,999

A new Huawei MateBook 14 2022 laptop is now available on preorder in Malaysia from now until 31st October with refreshed specifications and free gifts thrown in for good measure if you plonk down your plastic early.

What is the Huawei MateBook 14 2022

Aesthetically speaking, it looks similar to the early MateBook 14 2020 with most of the updates being primarily to its processor. The refreshed Huawei MateBook 14 2022 comes with a 14-inch IPS touchscreen with 2K ( 2,160 x 1,440 pixels) resolution, a 100% sRGB colour gamut and a 1,500:1 contrast ratio. Much like its predecessor, the display has a taller, wider 3:2 aspect ratio to make it easier to process paperwork.

Under the hood, the laptop uses a newer 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1240P processor paired with 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and a 512GB SSD along with Iris Xe graphics. Its predecessor in 2020 used an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor.

The battery retains the same capacity with a rated 56Wh lithium-polymer cell running the show. In terms of connectivity, the laptop hosts WiFi 6E along with Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. You also get a 720P webcam in the usual spot just on top of the display.

In Malaysia, the refreshed Huawei MateBook 14 2022 is officially priced at RM3,999 but early bird buyers who preorder it from now until 31st October can get it for just RM2,999 along with up to RM200 in vouchers on the Huawei Flagship store on Lazada.
