vivo V40 Lite 5G launched in Malaysia with prices starting from RM1,299
vivo Malaysia has officially unveiled the specifications and price for the vivo V40 Lite 5G phone for the Malaysia market. The phone comes in three different colourways which is Titanium Silver, Dynamic Black and Dreamy Violet and notably is the 5G-capable variant.

In terms of hardware, the vivo V40 Lite 5G weighs about 188g and is about 7.8mm thin with a plastic frame and backplate that features IP64 dust and water resistance. Under the hood, the vivo V40 Lite has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1,200 nits peak brightness and an SGS Eye Care Display certification. The phone even has a pair of stereo speakers flanking the display.
Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor built on a 4nm process with a 5G modem as well as their own Funtouch 14 user interface overlaying Android 14. This is paired with 8GB RAM augmented by up to 12GB of virtual RAM assigned off the onboard 256GB or 512GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot capable of supporting cards up to 1TB in size.
On the rear, the vivo V40 Lite 5G sports a dual camera array that consists of a 50MP main camera that has an 8MP ultra wide angle camera and an AI Aura Light flash riding shotgun. Up front the phone has a 32MP camera for selfies and mugshots. Of note is that the vivo V40 Lite has a bevy of AI-enhancements including an AI Erase mode to remove unwanted parts of an image, an AI Photo Enhance mode to make shots look better and more. Keeping the vivo V40 Lite powered is a 5,000mAH battery that has a guaranteed 4-years of battery health along with 80W FlashCharge wired fast charging.

In Malaysia, the vivo V40 Lite 5G is available for preorders priced at RM1,299 for the 255GB model and RM1,499for the 512GB model.
