Oppo Find N6 Review – Slim and Creaseless Screen With Great Cameras

Foldable phones have become an accepted form factor with many brands offering their own take on a foldable design. However, the pernicious issue of a visible crease on its main display remains a persistent challenge to many brands. Oppo’s latest Find N6 foldable however claims to resolve the issue decisively with what they refer to as a Zero-Feel crease along with a host of other features that competing brands have ditched like stylus support.

While we saw it ahead of its launch at a special preview, the proof was in the pudding and we took a sample out for testing over a period of several weeks. Curious? Check out our Oppo Find N6 review to see if their claim holds true.

Oppo Find N6 Review – Build and Design

The successor to the prior Oppo Find N5 launched last year, the Oppo Find N6 sticks to the popular book-style form factor and looks gorgeous out of the box. In Malaysia, Oppo is offering the design in either a metallic grey colourway called Stellar Titanium or a bolder looking, more stylish Blossom Orange. Our Oppo Find N6 review sample comes in the latter colourway.

If you’re looking at raw numbers, the Find N6 isn’t the slimmest or the lightest foldable out there at 8.93mm thin when folded and weighing in at 225g. While slimmer and thinner models exist, these are by just a few millimetres and grams; these miniscule differences aren’t apparent when you hold it in your hand. While it looks like a shade of neon orange in photos, the Blossom Orange finish on our sample resembles more of a muted burnt orange hue up close.

Oppo has lavished the Find N6 with premium 7000-series aluminium that’s 30% tougher than conventional aluminium along with a hinge made of 3D-printed Grade-5 titanium alloy. Now in its second generation, the 2nd-Gen Titanium Flexion hinge is precisely fit to exacting tolerances and is reinforced with 2,200 MPa high-strength steel for exceptional resilience. To further reinforce the hinge, the Find N6 also integrates a carbon fiber support plate that supports the main folding display and helps to keep it flat and minimise deformation over time.

For weight savings, the backplate is made of aerospace-grade fiber that’s 43% thinner than traditional glass while retaining superior resistance to drops. For added peace of mind, Oppo has also slapped on an IP56, IP58 and IP59 rating, allowing it to survive dust and immersion in up to 1.5 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.

Up close, the backplate with aerospace-grade fiber has a smooth satin finish that repels smudges well and also hosts a triple camera array in the upper portion. It’s a small blessing but the camera is symmetrically placed so that there’s no wobbling when you place it down on a flat surface. The lower quadrant of the backplate also has a wireless charging coil that allows for a fast 50W charge.

The right side features a power button, a volume rocker and a Snap key that can be customised with a predefined selection of shortcuts that let you access camera, torch, voice recorder, translation or screenshot mode on the fly or allow it to act as a switch to manage call and vibrate settings.

The front of our Oppo Find N6 review sample hosts a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED display protected by scratch and puncture-resistant Nanocrystal Glass though at the time of writing, there’s no official literature as to what equivalent level of toughness it has compared to the protective Gorilla glass made by Corning.

Oppo Find N6 Review angled

During our two weeks of testing with regular use, it resisted scratches and nicks though we did not subject it to drop tests seeing as it is a review unit. To further enhance its ability to be completely flat, Oppo has also introduced a protective layer of what they refer to as Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass that has 100% improvement in shape recovery and a 338% increase in deformation resistance.

Closer inspection of the front display shows respectable specifications, the LTPO OLED panel offering up 2,616 x  1,140 pixels resolution, a 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate, a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and 3,600 nits peak brightness. The display also supports a low 1-nit minimum brightness and 2,160Hz PWM dimming for comfortable viewing especially in dim light conditions.

Rounding things off are HDR Vivid as well as Dolby Vision support. Up top, it has a slit for one of the two built-in speakers and an earpiece. In a punch hole, the front display also hosts a single 20MP f/2.4 selfie camera.

Durability and aesthetics aside, the biggest triumph of design and engineering in the Oppo Find N6 is its main display that is now effectively creaseless to the touch and to the naked eye thanks to refinements in the hinge design.

In fact, it’s so flat that spinning tops were observed to spin effortlessly across the display surface; a competing foldable would have ended up with it spinning along the crease like a bowling lane gutter.

Oppo Find N6 Review flat

Oppo’s emphasis on the 2nd Gen Titanium Flexion hinge pays dividends here, resulting in a smooth opening and sturdy mechanism that stays in place wherever you angle it.

In fact, Oppo has certified that the fold will remain flat even after 600,000 folds with a TÜV Rheinland Minimized Crease Certification. It was even tested to a million folding cycles and was found to operate without issue such that it even has a TÜV Rheinland Reliable Folding Certification.

When fully unfolded, you reveal an 8.12-inch LTPO OLED display with 2,480 x 2,248 pixels resolution, a 1-120Hz refresh rate and  2,160Hz PWM dimming along with the ability to dial brightness all the way down to 1 nit. On paper, brightness is a bit lower than the main display at 2,500 nits peak brightness.

Overall build quality is impressive and the phone feels like a proper flagship phone with premium tactility and a pleasant heft with decent ergonomics.

Out of the box, our Oppo Find N6 review sample comes with a decent selection of kit that include a USB-C cable, an 80W SUPERVOOC wired charger, a hard protective case and the usual paperwork.

Oppo Find N6 Review – Performance and Benchmarks

At present, there’s only one configuration of the Oppo Find N6 for the Malaysia market. In terms of hardware, our Oppo Find N6 review sample is impressively appointed with the phone running the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This is currently the most powerful chipset for phones currently in the market short of the custom variant that’s currently only used in the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Paired with the top-shelf chipset is 16GB LPDDR5X RAM as well as the option to assign up to 12GB of RAM Extension virtual RAM off the onboard 512GB of fast UFS 4.1 storage. Both the RAM and storage are currently the best options currently available for phones at this point in time, ensuring optimum performance.

Running under the hood is Android 16 overlaid with Oppo’s own ColorOS 16.0.5 which has optimised productivity features that take full advantage of the main foldable display and integrated support for the optional Oppo AI Pen stylus. According to Oppo, the phone has 4 years of OS and 5 years of security updates which is the same as its predecessor the Oppo Find N5.

Here’s how our Oppo Find N6 review sample stacks up on paper:

Taken as a whole, the Find N6 has some of  the best hardware currently available for 2026 for a smartphone be it a foldable or a traditional slab-style phone. When subjected to synthetic benchmarks, our Oppo Find N6 review sample got the following:

3D Mark Steel Nomad Light 2,816
3D Mark Steel Nomad Light Unlimited 2,245
3D Mark Solar Bay 9,627
3D Mark Solar Bay Unlimited 13,304
3D Mark Solar Bay Extreme 1,071
3D Mark Solar Bay Extreme Unlimited 772
Geekbench 6 Single Core 3,436
Geekbench 6 Multi Core 9,446
Geekbench 6 OpenCL 19,216
Geekbench 6 Vulkan 26,031
Geekbench AI (CPU quanticised) 4,973
Geekbench AI (GPU quanticised) 3,791
PCMark Work 3.0 Performance 15,260
PCMark Battery Life 30 hours 6 mins

Overall performance is excellent and surpasses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset used in its predecessor the Oppo Find N5 in every way with improved single and multicore performance and markedly better graphics performance.

While Oppo did not mention that there were any significant improvements to its vapour chamber, our Oppo Find N6 offered good sustained heat management in stress tests with a slightly better loop score of 2,432 and improved 1,343 points for its lowest loop score though stability is slightly lower at 55.2%.

In any case, the chipset offers better performance and runs a bit cooler than its predecessor, with temperatures between 36°C to 44°C which is overall lower than the threshold offered by the Find N5.

In practical terms, our Oppo Find N6 review sample did not disappoint and offered silky smooth performance for everything from web browsing to gaming. For power users, Oppo’s ColorOS 16.0.5 features the usual embellishments like Google Gemini and Circle to Search but adds in a unique feature for multitasking dubbed Free-Flow Window for the main folding display.

By pinching in with all five fingers on the screen, the Find N6 offers multiple apps in floating windows that let you resize as well as drag and drop them at will with up to four apps running simultaneously onscreen. If you’re looking to catch up on your Netflix backlog while gaming and web browsing, the Find N6 is your ticket to do so.

Unfortunately, we weren’t issued the Oppo AI Pen so we weren’t able to test how it interacts with the phone but the stylus itself can not only let you write and doodle but also act as a remote shutter for the rear cameras; a feature that has gone the way of the dodo in some competing brands.

Oppo Find N6 Review multiflow

Arguably the biggest draw to the phone, the main foldable display is almost completely creaseless though you can still see it in specific scenarios such as under full-on direct sunlight. By and large, you won’t notice it at all in day to day use.

Colour rendition, sharpness and brightness are otherwise excellent with fair visibility under direct sunlight. The front display is brighter with better clarity under sunlight with the larger screen allowing you to treat it very much like a conventional phone.

When it comes to endurance, our Oppo Find N6 performed like a champ with its 6,000mAh battery with the PCMark benchmark solely on its front display offering up to 30 hours and 6 minutes of battery life.

Depending on your usage and depending on how much of the main and cover display you’re using in your use-case scenario, you’re comfortably looking at a day and a half worth of moderate use. More frugal users will likely stretch it out to two days or more. Charging speeds are fast as well with the provided charger offering a full charge in about an hour from dead zero.

Oppo Find N6 Review – Cameras

In terms of imaging hardware, our Oppo Find N6 review sample has an improved setup compared to its predecessor the Find N5. The older model’s 50MP main camera gets upgunned to a much better 200MP main camera that utilises a Samsung HP5 sensor.

The prior design’s 8MP ultrawide angle camera also gets a spec bump up to a 50MP camera that even has autofocus which is something of an afterthought for many other competing designs.

The 50MP telephoto camera is otherwise unaltered and offers 3x telephoto zoom out of the box. The camera setup also features an Oppo 2MP True Color Camera sensor for improved white balance and more lifelike colour rendition.

Combined, this setup allows for up to 120x zoom for stills and up to an impressive 4K@120fps video capture for fast-moving action like sports and the like. It also has up to 18x zoom for videos.

Up front, the main display has a similar 20MP camera for selfies and video calls capable of up to 4K@60fps video. A similar camera is also thoughtfully placed in the corner of the main folding display.

Oppo Find N6 Review – Good results at 120x zoom in daylight

In terms of image quality, the Oppo Find N6 offers up excellent shots in daylight all the way out to 3x zoom with good results all the way out to 10x zoom. Colour rendition and detail are solid without being oversaturated and you get excellent results as a point and shoot. In low light conditions, the rear cameras noticeably take a second or two longer to get a longer exposure to let in more light but generally offer good results out to about 6X or so in low light.

When it comes to video capture, the rear triple camera setup offers rather nuanced performance. If you aim to capture 4K@120fps video, you max out at 3x zoom and default to the main 200MP camera.

If you’re looking for better zoom distances, you’ll need to rely on the telephoto camera but at a lower 4K@60fps resolution out to about 18x digital zoom though you get the advantage of an Ultra Steady mode for less juddery footage. Footage is smooth with good detail retention and colours though you’ll get best results if you stick to below 3X zoom.

Oppo Find N6 Review camera 5

There’s also plenty of tools for content creators including the ability to take stills in RAW and videos in LOG format for later editing in post along with full manual controls and a live histogram. Shots from the front and main folding display camera retain good skin tones and detail for the odd mugshot or two and video calls.

Should you buy the Oppo Find N6?

While it doesn’t have as many Android and security updates as some contenders nor does it have as rigorous resistance to misadventure than others, the Oppo Find N6 stands out as being one of the most refined flagship foldables to date.

Hitech Century Gold Award

On its own merits, the Oppo Find N6 is a flagship foldable that offers an exquisite user experience from its premium design, Zero-Feel creaseless main display, flagship-grade hardware and its Hasselblad-tuned cameras. However, it does not come cheap and its optional AI Pen also requires an added outlay.
