Massive dual display Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026 coming to Malaysia priced at RM36,999

To kick off Asus’ 20th anniversary in Malaysia, the brand released an array of new gaming laptops centered around the massive Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026.The world’s first 16-inch dual-screen gaming laptop, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026 aka model GX659 comes with a price to match its apex status

As much a statement piece as it is a terrifyingly powerful gaming laptop, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026 dials everything to 11 and includes not one but two 3K touchscreens on top of beefy gaming hardware.

Asus also showcased their refreshed ROG Strix SCAR 18, ROG Strix G16 and G18 gaming laptops for 2026. Here’s how they stack up on paper and how much they cost. According to Asus, their latest line-up are now available nationwide but those who purchase these new models before 17 July 2026 will get early bird bundles worth up to RM2,948. ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026 Specs

The successor to the 2022 model, the biggest draw to the ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026 is naturally its pair of 16-inch 3K OLED touch displays which have a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,100 nits peak brightness, NVIDIA G-SYNC support, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut as well as Pantone validation for colour accuracy as well as an MUX Switch. Complementing the dual displays are a quad speaker system with Smart Amplifier tech.

Powering the laptop is an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H 2.1GHz processor with an integrated NPU rated for up to 50 TOPS paired with a whopping 64GB LPDDR5X RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics card.

For storage, it also has a massive 2TB SSD. Keeping it powered is a 90WHr Li-ion battery. Needless to say, with hardware like this the ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026 is also ideal for demanding productivity-related tasks and for content creators as well.

To further add to its versatility, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026 features a detachable wireless magnetic keyboard complete with a large touchpad allowing for an unrestricted view of both displays depending on what configuration you deploy it in. With this level of versatility, you’re able to deploy it like a normal laptop, like a tablet or in a tall desktop configuration depending on your needs which is impressive.

In Malaysia, the ROG Zephyrus Duo only comes in one configuration and is priced at RM36,999 with a free ROG Gladius III mouse as well as an ROG Backpack and a 100W Type-C adapter and 250W AC adapter thrown in on the house for good measure. ROG Strix Scar 18 2026 Specs

If you prefer a more traditional laptop form factor with equally powerful hardware, the revamped ROG Strix Scar 18 2026 can tackle anything thrown at it. In Malaysia, it comes in three configurations that vary in terms of the display type and graphics card. 

The highest end variant utilises an 18-inch 4K Mini LED display with 3,840 x 2,400 pixels resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA G-Sync support. It also has 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut support, Pantone validation and an MUX Switch with NVIDIA Advanced Optimus.

Powering the ROG Strix Scar 18 is an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus 2.7GHz processor paired with 64GB DDR5 RAM and two 1TB SSDs in a RAID 0 configuration.

In terms of graphics, the top of the line variant uses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. In Malaysia, this configuration is priced at RM32,999 and comes with a free ROG Backpack, a free ROG Gladius III mouse, a 100W USB-C adapter and a 450W AC adapter on the house.

Another variant uses the same Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus CPU and 64GB RAM but instead downgrades the 18-inch Mini LED display down to 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) resolution while retaining a 240Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-Sync, 100% DCI-P3 and Pantone validation as well as an MUX Switch and NVIDIA Optimus.

Another swap in this configuration is its storage with two 2TB SSDs in a Raid 0 configuration and the use of an NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card. This configuration clocks in at RM30,999 and gets you all of the free stuff of the high end configuration minus the Gladius III mouse.

ROG Strix G18 and ROG Strix G16 specs

The ROG Strix G18 and Strix G16 gaming laptops respectively come with 18-inch 2.5K IPS LCD and 16-inch 2.5K IPS LCD displays, feature the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, 32GB RAM, a 1TB SSD and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU with prices that start from RM12,999 and up.
