Acer Swift 14 and Acer Swift Go 14 ultraportables launch in Malaysia; prices start from RM3,199

Acer Malaysia has unveiled their latest ultraportables that were showcased at CES 2023 earlier this year and which will be arriving this month. The Acer Swift 14 is intended for executives demanding a high-performing, portable solution while the Acer Swift Go 14 is intended as a reasonably priced and man-portable solution for general duties. 

Representatives from Acer showcasing the Acer Swift 14 and Acer Swift Go as well as their latest range of Predator gaming laptops that have just launched in Malaysia.

Both the Acer 14 and Acer Swift Go 14 come in a variety of different configurations and price points for Malaysia and have a number of novel design features such as a touchpad hewn from recovered Oceanglass, TwinAir dual-fan cooling as well as D6 copper heatpipes for more efficient heat venting capabilities and 1080p webcams with AI noise reduction tech for clearer video and Acer PurifiedVoice tech for clearer audio..

Acer Swift 14 specs

In terms of hardware, the Acer Swift 14 is hewn from a slab of CNC Machined aluminium, comes with a 14-inch WUXGA IPS touch display protected by a sheaf antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass, is powered by up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H CPU, Intel iris Xe graphics, either 16GB or 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 1TB of SSD storage and Intel Evo certification which ensures that the laptop has fast start-up times and exceptional endurance in the field to Intel’s exacting requirements. 

On paper, the Acer Swift 14 is rated for at least 10 hours of battery life and also features fast Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi 6 connectivity. What makes the Swift 14 exceptional is that Acer has managed to shoehorn all this into an ultralight chassis weighing just 1.2kg on account of its CNC aluminium machined chassis while being just 14.95mm thin.

Depending on configuration, the Acer Swift 14 is priced from RM4,299 – RM5,399 in Malaysia with a slated arrival date of April 2023 at the Acer estore, authorised retailers and on Shopee and Lazada. All units ship with a free copy of Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Student edition.

Acer Swift Go 14 specs

The affordable Acer Swift Go 14 features a 14-inch FHD IPS non-touch display with 100% sRGB colour gamut and a 90% screen-to-body ratio with 4.15mm thin side bezels shoehorned into a chassis that is just 14.9mm thin while weighing just 1.2kg which makes it wonderfully man-portable.

Powering the Acer Swift Go 14 laptop is up to an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U CPU, up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM, has a 512GB SSD and offers up to 13 hours of battery life.

Like the Acer Swift 14, the Acer Swift Go 14 is slated for arrival this April 2023 and also ships with a free copy of Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Student edition.
