To say that the quality of water in homes in the Klang Valley is drinkable would likely be the biggest understatement of the decade and drinking it straight out of the pipe is as foolhardy as sticking a metal fork in a wall socket. While a host of outsized, chunky solutions that require extensive installation to the mains does exist, the new Acerpure Aqua WP1 water purifier that we saw at Computex 2023 is now officially available in Malaysia priced at RM3,599.
Acerpure Aqua WP1 Specifications in Malaysia
The Acerpure Aqua WP1 water purifier is an easily deployable countertop design with an 8.7 liter water tank that offers clean hot or cold water with a temperature selectable between 40°C and 95°C on demand that is infused with hydrogen for purported health-giving qualities. What makes it particularly appealing is that it does not require plumbing work to any existing home or office piping system. Users can also dispense water in precise 50ml increments or in preset 150ml, 300ml and 500ml sizes to fit most tumblers and coffee cups.
Unfiltered water is tossed into the rear container and gets purified via a 3-step RO filtration system that has been proven to remove substances as small as 0.0001um including residual chlorine, viruses and bacteria. At the launch, Acerpure personally tossed in a gallon of neon orange soda and managed to get clean drinking water out front which is quite a feat indeed.
The front-facing controls are a relatively simple affair with most menu settings and diagnostics accessible via a series of touch controls
Maintenance is as easy as it gets with the PCF, RO and GAC filters designed as replaceable canisters accessible via a maintenance bay. A built-in indicator turns red when the filters need replacement.
When the Acerpure Aqua WP1’s filters need a good clean, the water purifier has an internal real-time Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) water quality monitor that triggers a notification. Should the TDS rating get too high, users can activate a smart wash button to conduct an internal purge to ensure a thorough clean.

In Malaysia, the Acerpure Aqua WP1 is available priced at the aforementioned RM3,599 inclusive of a full set of installed filters.
