Revamped powerful Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 2021 models coming to Malaysia from RM8,599

With the announcement of Intel’s next generation 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processors comes the inevitable array of refreshed laptops and Dell has thrown their hat in the ring with upgraded versions of the Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 intended for mobile workers and content creators on the go.

Much like its predecessors, the refreshed Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 2021 models feature the same premium, refined design with super thin bezels on their InfinityEdge displays which can potentially come with touch-capable options with light machined aluminium and carbon fibre chassis.

The biggest upgrades for the XPS 15 and XPS 17 are primarily in terms of its processors and graphics, with the aforementioned new 11th Gen Intel Core H-series Tiger Lake processors that are built on a 10nm process.

The revamped XPS 15 and XPS 17 for 2021 also come with beefier graphic options from NVIDIA with the XPS 15 being able to be equipped with the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti while the XPS 17 can be kitted out with the RTX 3060 card. Dell XPS 15 2021 Specifications and Price

The XPS 15 embodies the quality and design typically lavished on Dell’s XPS series and features some of their best specifications shoehorned into a chassis that’s just 18mm thin and weighing up to 1.83kg hewn of machine aluminium and carbon fibre. 

On paper, the XPS 15 is available with up to a 15.6-inch 4K UHD+ Infinity Edge touchscreen with 100% sRGB and 99% DCI-P3 colour space though non-touch and Full HD options are available.

The XPS 15 can also come with up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11900H 4.9GHz processor, up to 64GB DDR4 3,200MHz RAM, up to a 4TB SSD and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM and 45W TGP. Powering it is up to an 86Whr battery depending on region. 

In Malaysia, the Dell XPS 15 will come with an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11800H 4.6GHz processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 512GB SSD, a 15.6-inch Full HD display and the new NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti graphics card for RM8,399 that is slated to arrive in June 2021.

Dell XPS 17 2021 Specifications and Price

Much like the XPS 15, the Dell XPS 17 2021 refresh has been upgraded with the latest hardware while retaining the same good looks expected of an XPS series laptop though the XPS 17 has one of their largest displays ever in a compact, almost 15-inch laptop form factor.

Shoehorned into a chassis that’s just 19.5mm thin and weighing 2.5kg are an impressive amount of hardware. You get up to a 16-inch 4K UHD Infinity Edge touchscreen, up to an 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11980HK processor, up to 64GB DDR4 3,200MHz RAM, up to a 1TB PCIE 4 x 4 SSD and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM and 70W TGP. By default, the battery powering it is a hefty 97Whr.

For Malaysia, the upgraded Dell XPS 17 2021 model comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, an RTX 3060 graphics card and a Full HD display for RM9,599. Both the Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 are slated for arrival in June 2021.
