Here’s what you need to do to preorder the Huawei Mate 30 Pro in Malaysia
Malaysia is the first country to see the official launch of the Mate 30 series phones outside of China. Both of Huawei’s latest flagship phones, the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro made their Malaysia debut at the Huawei Malaysia Ecosystem Conference in Malaysia. While prices have been announced for both phones, only the Mate 30 Pro is available for pre-orders with a special Huawei Exclusive Ownership campaign that includes RM1,155 of free gifts. Here’s what you need to do to be eligible for this special programme…
Huawei Exclusive Ownership Campaign for the Mate 30 Pro
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro will retail at RM3,899 in Malaysia for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration in your choice of either Black or Space Silver. Às part of the Huawei Exclusive Ownership Campaign, you’re also getting a DJI Osmo Mobile 3, a Huawei casing for the phone, an in-car wireless car charger and their Huawei Care protection policy for the phone worth a total of RM1,155.
This preorder programme does have a bit of fine print to go through though before you can get your hands on Huawei’s finest. For starters, you can swing by their official site first https://mate30proeoc.3ex.com.my to get a grip of their requirements.
Most important of all, you need to own at least two Mate devices before you’re eligible to purchase the Mate 30 Pro.
When you login to their official Mate 30 Pro pre-order website, you’re greeted with a disclaimer that you have to go through and click yes to signify your comprehension in that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro does not have Google Mobile Service and instead has Huawei’s own Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) with their own suite of apps installed that include the Huawei AppGallery, Huawei Assistant, Huawei Browser and the like. Once you’ve indicated your understanding, you move on to the next step – proving you own two Mate series devices.
To prove ownership, Huawei is offering several options, you can upload images captured on a Mate series phone with the watermark enabled, scan or take a picture of your proof of purchase or, ultimately, a shot of the Mate phones that you own. Only one example out of the three is needed as proof which you then have to upload to their website before providing your personal details as well as a non-refundable RM300 deposit.
Once you’ve sorted that out, all that remains is to sort out the logistics for pickup by stating which is your preferred collection point with collection dates between 25th October to 7th November 2019.
To score even more free goodies with the Mate 30 Pro, you can rope 5 of your friends in and if all of them have successfully purchased the Mate 30 Pro, you will get a free Huawei watch GT worth RM799. Swing by their official preorder page for more details here.
