The HONOR 600 series is about to launch in the near future in Malaysia and we got our hands on an early sample of the HONOR 600 Pro for field testing.

Rather than purely pushing on its specifications, which are substantial based on what has been revealed thus far, HONOR has also emphasised their improved AI Image to Video 2.0 feature that is baked in to the HONOR 600 series and which allows you to generate short 3 or 5-second clips based on provided photos.

What has been improved in AI Image to Video 2.0 for the Honor 600 series?

The original AI Image to Video 1.0 feature was first deployed on the HONOR 400 series and offered immense creative potential though you couldn’t quite control the results.

This time around, the improved AI Image to Video 2.0 feature on the HONOR 600 series now lets you add in up to three images and allow you to input your own prompts to control the outcome. For the space of five seconds, the sky and your creativity is the limit.

Using AI Image to Video 2.0

Accessible in the HONOR 600 Pro’s  image gallery under the Create tab, the AI Image to Video 2.0 mode offers 19 selectable templates that already come with predefined prompts that offer a variety of creative scenarios to explore. By selecting and inputting up to three images, the AI Image to Video 2.0 templates let you generate a number of impressive visual effects.

The provided templates for the AI Image to Video 2.0 mode enables you to accomplish a gamut of things like generate transition animations between a person wearing two different outfits, animate sketches into three dimensional short clips, combine and show transitions between the younger and older selves of a person and more. 

Out of all the provided templates, the one that offers the greatest emotional impact is the ability to combine images of two people together having a hug which allows you to combine a relative together into a meaningful image. You can potentially combine someone’s younger and older selves or perhaps a late relative and the results look impressive.

There are even whimsical templates that combine a cartoon character and a real person in one short animated frame, a prompt that lets you animate an image of your furkid doing something human like making a phone call or cooking. 

Content creators also have a number of useful generative templates including the ability to create a bullet time effect from a single shot, generate a dolly zoom effect like that seen in the movie Inception and even a drone pullback effect with a visual effect as if a still shot was captured with a live drone.
