HONOR deploys powerful EMUI 10.1 upgrade for selected phones
HONOR Malaysia has rolled out an update for selected phones in their stable that bumps up the firmware to EMUI 10.1. Phones that have the EMUI 10.1 upgrade include the HONOR View20, the HONOR 20 and the HONOR 20 Pro with the Honor 9X Pro slated for the upgrade later on in September 2020.
The EMUI 10.1 upgrade will add in parent company Huawei’s MeeTime video calling feature as well as a Smart Multi-Window that lets you multitask with multiple apps onscreen without having to switch back and forth.
Other features in the update include the addition of what their boffins call a Deterministic Latency Engine which, in plain English, preempts what you’re doing by understanding your behaviour over time like a smart Android butlet of sorts with a 20.8% reduction in system response time and a 10.5% average in latency fluctuations.
This is on top of other features including their vaunted multi-screen collaboration mode with their MagicBook notebooks as well as Huawei’s other kit like their MateBooks and MatePad Pro tablets where you can interact with your phone straight off a paired notebook or tablet’s display.
