Huawei MateBook D14 2020 Intel Edition debuts today with 10th Gen I5 CPU at RM3,399
The new normal has brought about an increased demand for practical ultrabooks for both work and studies that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Fortunately, Huawei has something that’s both slim, powerful and affordable. Meet the Huawei MateBook D14.
The Huawei MateBook D14 Intel Edition sports a proven array of hardware that’s ideal for students and executives. Crammed into an aluminium chassis that is 15.9mm thin and weighing 1.38kg is a 14-inch Full HD display, a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10510U processor paired with 8GB RAM, a 512GB SSD for storage and, surprisingly, an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics card which lends it a modest ability to handle retro gaming and light video editing.
Other features unique to Huawei’s MateBook D14 Intel Edition include a pop-up webcam for enhanced privacy that is recessed in the keyboard as well as USB-C charging via a bundled 65W Type-C charger.
Like other Huawei MateBooks, the D14 Intel Edition also pairs up seamlessly with other Huawei phones like the Mate40 Pro so that you can drag and drop content back and for or even take calls straight off your laptop via their Multi Screen Collaboration mode.
Bar the change in hardware, it’s somewhat similar to the earlier MateBook 14 that we tested awhile back sans a touchscreen though retaining an AMD Ryzen 7 processor with integrated Vega 10 graphics.
