Huawei MateBook X Pro brings huge 4K touchscreen, 6 speakers and costs €1899
Huawei has been making significant inroads in offering a range of premium ultraportables and last year’s MateBook 14S was quite an impressive offering. Now, at their Huawei Spring 2022 Smart Office Launch, they’ve revealed their top of the line MateBook X Pro laptop.
What is the Huawei MateBook X Pro
The Huawei MateBook X Pro laptop has a wedge shaped design hewn of metal that tapers down to 5.4mm at its thinnest point The chassis of the laptop has a ceramic sand washed surface that resists fingerprints nicely and weighs just 1.38kg.
In terms of hardware, the Huawei MateBook X Pro features 11th Gen Intel processors paired with 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. The primary 14.2-inch 4K touchscreen has a 90Hz refresh rate and a slim 92.5% screen-to-body ratio with 6mm thin bezels while retaining a top bezel mounted video call camera. The display itself also has a 100% 3D Lut colour accuracy.
The other hardware of note with the MateBook X Pro is a new cooling system with a triple air intake that has dual Shark Fin fans with 60% increased air flow along with 6 speakers. The laptop comes with a provided USB-C charger that weighs just 180g packing 90W Super Charge support and 50W smartphone supercharge.
Another unique feature on the MateBook X Pro adds touch gestures to the large touchpad with a double knock allowing for a screen capture command much like their smartphones.
How much is the Huawei MateBook X Pro
At launch, Huawei announced that the MateBook X Pro with an 11th Gen i7 processor, 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD costs €1,899 which works out to around RM8,990.
