List of phones with Snapdragon 845 for 2018 leaked

The Snapdragon 845 is Qualcomm’s upcoming processor that will power the next generation of flagship phones. It’s usually an educated guess as to which phones will incorporate Qualcomm’s new chips every year though this time around, it’s less of a guessing game as a source in China revealed the next generation of phones that will use the Snapdragon 845.

An unconfirmed source on Weibo has listed down the phones that will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chip along with a list of global release dates for 2018. The list itself is interesting, and if its veracity is to be believed, confirms the existence of several devices though many are expected sequels to existing phones this year.

In February, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ along with the LG G7 and G7+ will make an appearance. It’s important to note that Samsung’s Galaxy series phones usually feature different processors for different regions with the United States and China receiving Snapdragon processors and the rest of the world getting Exynos processors. In the case of the S9 and S9+, it’ll be their next generation Exynos 9810 chips that will power the phones coming to Malaysia. The arrival of the Galaxy S9, the S9+ and the Note9 is a certainty but if the global launch dates in the leak are on the money, we won’t have long to wait for the arrival of the S9 and S9+.

In April, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will make its debut followed with the HTC U12 in May. June will see the outing of the OnePlus 6, the ZTE nubia Z18 and Sony’s Xperia XZ Pro-A. In August, the Nokia 10 arrive. In September, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 makes its debut along with the LG V40 and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3.

In October, the Google Pixel 3, the HTC U12+, the ZTE nubia Z18S and the Xperia XZ2 arrive. In November, the Moto Z 2019 will be announced. In December, the OnePlus 6T is slated to make an appearance along with a Samsung flip phone dubbed the W2019.

While the launch dates of some of the phones and their model names generally jive, some vendors and their phones seem to be missing from the list which infers that the list is in all likelihood incomplete; odds are there may be more phones sporting a Snapdragon 845 chip in the year ahead. Seeing as the majority of these phones in the list won’t be making official appearances for quite some time, the list ought to be taken with a pinch of salt though if it’s true, it’s an exciting peek as to what lies ahead.
