OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro revealed
In light of recent events that include the Covid-19 outbreak, OPPO this time around has opted to live stream the global launch of their latest phones, the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro, both of which are flagship-grade phones with hardware that aims to take on the best that other brands have to offer.
Both the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro are otherwise mostly similar to each other externally but differ in terms of storage, battery size and their cameras.
Both OPPO phones have a 6.7-inch OLED panel with an impressive Quad HD+ resolution, which works out to 3,168 x 1,440 pixels. This is further enhanced with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,200 nits of peak brightness and a full 100% support for the DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Both the OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro both have the latest Snapdragon 865 processor running Android 10.0 overlaid with OPPO’s ColorOS 7.1. Both the FindX2 and Find X2 Pro are both also 5G capable with standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) support.
The Snapdragon 865 SoC is paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with the Find X packing 256GB and the Find X2 Pro packing double the storage at 512GB. Both phones also have a 32-MP selfie camera up front.
In terms of camera systems, the OPPO Find X2 has a triple camera array that consists of a 48-MP primary camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor, a 12-MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 13-MP telephoto camera with 5x hybrid zoom and 20x max zoom.
The OPPO Find X2 Pro upguns this to a more impressive setup dubbed the Ultra Vision Camera System with its own triple camera array consisting of a 48-MP primary camera using the Sony IMX689 sensor, a secondary 48-MP ultra wide angle camera and a 13-MP camera with a periscope telephoto lens that enables it to achieve 10x hybrid zoom and 60x max zoom which is quite a deal more powerful than the Find X2.
Keeping the Find X2 powered is a 4,200mAh battery while the more powerful Find X2 Pro has a 4,260mAh battery with both phones offering 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge fast charging tech which is rated to recharge a phone to full in 38 minutes. One more interesting difference is that the Find X2 Pro also has IP68 water resistance which its sibling does not.
