OPPO Reno4 series launched in Malaysia priced from RM1,699 with free gifts
OPPO is certainly on a roll with the launch of their Reno3 series scarcely a few months ago as they’ve just launched their new Reno4 series phones in a Facebook live streamed event a few hours ago. In the live stream, OPPO debuted the new Reno4 and Reno4 Pro, both of which are intended as midrange workhorses that aim to punch above their weight class with a series of unique features and technologies that make each one unique in its own way.
OPPO Reno4 and Reno4 Pro specifications
The OPPO Reno4 and Reno4 Pro are built around the same processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G that runs their latest ColorOS 7.2 user interface overlaid on Android 10. Both have approximately the same form factor, weight and design along with a similar quad camera array but vary slightly in terms of colour choices, storage configuration and display. Both phones also have a similar 32MP front-facing selfie camera.
The OPPO Reno4 Pro edges out with a slightly larger 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a superior 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, 256GB more storage that is unfortunately non-expandable, a better Sony IMX586 sensor in its quad camera array and also has much faster 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging tech.
The OPPO Reno4 has a slightly smaller 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a standard 60Hz refresh rate, less storage at 128GB but which is expandable via a triple card slot and a slightly slower 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging tech for its battery. OPPO Reno4 and Reno4 Pro Price and Preorder details
In Malaysia, the OPPO Reno4 will be available in your choice of Galaxy Blue and Space Black with a price tag of RM1,699. The OPPO Reno4 Pro will be available in either Starry Night or Silky White priced at RM2,399. Both phones are now available for preorders starting today at OPPO’s online store and preferred partners until 7th August 2020 with free gifts.
On the street availability is slated for 8th August at all OPPO experience stores, retail partners, telco partners and e-commerce partners nationwide. If you preorder beforehand, you’ll get a free 1 year extended warranty for the Reno4 while the Reno4 Pro adds an OPPO Enco W31 wireless earbud on top of the 1 year extended warranty.
