Predator Helios Neo 16 launched in Malaysia with 14th Gen Intel CPUs; prices start from RM6,399

The refreshed Predator Helios Neo 16 gaming laptops made their Malaysia debut with prices that start from RM6,399 and up alongside the potent majesty of the revamped Predator Helios 18 and Predator Helios 16 that cost quite a bit more. Here’s how the refresh stacks up…

Predator Helios Neo 16 specs and price in Malaysia

For your money, the revamped Predator Helios Neo 16 line-up comes in three different configurations, all of which are aesthetically similar but which differ slightly in display type, CPU, RAM and GPU.

The highest end version hosts a 16-inch 240Hz IPS WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) display, 500 nits peak brightness as well as 100% DCI-P3, an Intel Core i7-14700HX processor, 16GB DDR5 RAM that is upgradable on your own to 64GB, a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD in RAID 0 configuration and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM. This version retails for RM8,999 in Malaysia.

A more affordable variant pares the screen colour accuracy and refresh rate down, has less RAM and a slightly lower graphics card. You get a 16-inch 165Hz WQXGA+ display with slightly less colour accurate sRGB 100% colour gamut along with 8GB DDR5 RAM upgradable to 64GB RAM as well as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM as well as a 1TB PCIe NVMe RAID 0 SSD is also available for RM7,299. 

The base variant is otherwise similar to the midtier Predator Helios Neo 16 variant with the same amount of RAM, the same GPU, 165Hz IPS display and storage but swaps the CPU out for a 14th Gen Intel Core i5-14500HX CPU. This version sets you back RM6,399.

All variants are available now nationwide in Malaysia at all Acer official stores on Shopee and Lazada, Acer authorised dealers nationwide and the online Acer eStore.

If you hustle and buy them before 7th March 2024, you can get any of the three variants at an RM500 discount off its retail price which is a tempting proposition indeed as the base model costs only RM5,899, the midtier only RM6,799 and the top-tier model for RM8,499.
