Samsung Galaxy A32 with 90Hz Super AMOLED and giant 5,000mAh battery coming to Malaysia
While the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 took the limelight at the Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked 2021 event, Samsung announced the debut of another more affordable sibling to this year’s Galaxy A 2021 series phones dubbed the Galaxy A32 that will be coming to Malaysia.
Intended as the most affordable of the Galaxy A 2021 series models launched in Malaysia, the Galaxy A32 has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a U-shaped cutout for the front facing 20MP F/2.2 selfie camera. The display comes with an under-display fingerprint reader for biometrics and also has Samsung Knox security.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A32 runs on a MediaTek Helio G80 2.0GHz octacore processor running Android 11 and One UI 3 paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The phone currently only runs on 4G LTE networks and has no 5G connectivity.
The rear comes with a quad camera array centered around a primary 64MP F/1.8 camera paired with an 8MP F/2.2 ultra wide angle camera. This is complemented by a 5MP macro camera and a 5MP depth sensor. Keeping it powered is a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support via recharging via a USB Type-C port. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack for wired headphones.
In terms of differences with its higher end A52 and A72 siblings, the Galaxy A32 has slower 15W vs 25W fast charging, a more affordable lower tier processor and lacks the optical image stabilisation for the primary camera.
Aesthetically speaking, it has a similar camera placement and design as the rest of the new Galaxy A 2021 series but has a flush camera housing versus the rest which have a slightly raised camera bump.
Samsung Galaxy A32 Price in Malaysia
