Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 helps you find lost tagged gear

The improved version of the earlier Samsung SmartTag and SmartTag+, the new Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 will be globally available from 11th October 2023 onwards and adds in longer battery life and enhanced tracking.

What is the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2

The updated Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 has a new Lost Mode that lets users embed their contact information via a message that finders can scan using an NFC reader and web browser on any smartphone to discover the owner’s  contact information to speed recovery. 

Another new update with the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is a Compass View feature that offers arrows to show the direction and distance to the user on any UWB-supported Galaxy smartphone. According to Samsung, the new tags also have a Power Saving Mode that can last up to 700 days; twice as long as the prior SmartTag model while even the standard mode has an impressive 500 day endurance.

On top of these welcome upgrades, the updated SmartTag2 is also smart enough to encrypt user date and disabling Lost Mode immediately hides contact information of the owner and wipes the prerecorded message from the tag as an extra safety measure. 

At present there’s no confirmation that the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 will arrive in Malaysia anytime soon but it is listed on the Samsung Malaysia website in your choice of either black or white.
