Samsung Galaxy Studio opens its doors in Malaysia
The observant around the Bukit Bintang area will likely have noticed some fairly heavy contruction happening just outside Lot 10 with an enigmatic logo on the awnings though their efforts have finally borne fruit as Samsung Malaysia Electronics has just taken the wraps off their eponymous Galaxy Studio where users can experience Samsung’s latest offerings, and in particular, the Galaxy Note8 in an up close and personal fashion.
While this is the first Galaxy Studio in Malaysia, Samsung’s unique concept stores have made appearances elsewhere around the world. To date, they’ve appeared in some of the most renowned locations on the planet including Stockholm Central Station, the Dubai Mall, Hong Kong’s Excelsior Plaza and more.
The Galaxy Studio in Bukit Bintang sprawls across 1,296 square feet and crams in a host of experiential zones and technologies that showcase what makes the Galaxy Note8 one of the most powerful phones of 2017.
Greeting you the moment you walk through the posh looking glass doors are Samsung Product Experts who direct you to a series of experiential zones divided across the Galaxy Studio. In one corner is a series of VR chairs where users get to experience a virtual reality experience with the Galaxy Note8 and a Gear VR headset along with special seats to fully experience both vision and motion simultaneously.
Another experiential zone allows users to interact and view how crisp the Galaxy Note8’s Super AMOLED display is as it depicts images onscreen in conjunction with a large virtual touchscreen display. Another series of zones shares the other products and devices that the Galaxy Note8 works with such as their wearables, a host of casings and much more.
One unique zone allows users to take selfies and then immerse the phone in water to virtually ‘transfer’ it to a larger digital ‘Liquid Canvas’ canvas of sorts while also showcasing the IP68 waterproofing of the phone. It’s a highly novel experience indeed.
Users can also experience a 360 Snow Globe booth where users get to interact with the Gear 360 camera amidst a whirling flurry of synthetic snowflakes and take a wefie.
More fitness oriented visitors can avail themselves to the Galaxy Fitness stations where visitors can strap on a Gear Fit2 Pro and partake in a cycling competition to track their heart rate.
Should customers be keen to purchase a Galaxy Note8, they can purchase it immediately onsite. The Galaxy Studio is open to the public on 27 October 2017 till 31 January 2018 from 10AM to 10PM and if users purchase a Galaxy Note8 at the Galaxy Studio from 27 to 29 October 2017, they can get a Gear VR absolutely free.
