ESL One Genting tournament series with RM1,000,000 prize pool is a go for 2017

The local gaming industry got a leg up the totem pole as Resorts World Genting is teaming up with ESL to hold the inaugural ESL One Genting tournament. The vaunted world class tournament  has the game DOTA 2 as the centrepiece with teams the world over vying for prize money worth a whopping USD250,000 (RM101,5262). The ESL tournaments are one of the most prestigious events in the world of gaming with a tournament leg across the planet with major tournaments in Frankfurt, Cologne, New York and Manila.

The inaugural ESL One Genting tournament for Malaysia will take place at the Arena of Stars up in Genting Highlands Resort from 6 to 8 January 2017 and will feature the world’s eight best Dota 2 teams squaring off to determine who is the undisputed title champion. The coming months will see the list of invited teams, internationally qualified teams and an exclusive Malaysian team revealed to the public.
