Huawei MateStation S desktop PC with AMD Ryzen 5 CPU coming to Malaysia soon
Huawei is expanding their presence in the realm of desktop PCs in the near future as a listing for the new Huawei MateStation S desktop has appeared on their site.
The Huawei MateStation S is certainly a departure from their traditional fare which has previously encompassed the likes of the AX3 router, their range of MateBook laptops and,of course, their recent P40 series and Mate40 series phones.
Intended for mainstream use, the MateStation S looks like a pretty handy bundle that covers most mainline computing needs.
You get compact housing that packs in an AMD Ryzen 5 4600G processor running Windows 10 Home with integrated Radeon graphics.
It comes by default with 8GB 3,200MHz RAM and a 256GB SSD but this is easily upgradable as it packs two M.2 2280 SSD bays and two SO-DIMM slots so you can upgrade your RAM and storage as needed.
Connectivity is robust as well with WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, an Ethernet port, a mic in, a line-out, a line-in, a HDMI port, a pair of USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB A ports and a pair of USB 2.0 A ports for peripherals.
On that note, the MateStation S ships with their Huawei Ultra-Slim Wired keyboard which has a superior typing experience thanks to their 2.5mm travel scissor-switches and which packs a power button which doubles as a fingerprint reader.
It also has the same ‘tap to connect’ feature as their MateBook series laptops for seamless pairing with a Huawei phone.
The MateStation S also ships with a 23.8-inch Fullview display which has a 90% screen-to-body ratio that’s rated to offer low blue light emission and to be flicker-free by TUV Rheinland.
