Leaked rendering for Galaxy Note9 reveals new colour scheme
The launch of the Galaxy Note9 is just weeks away but even more details of what it looks like and, of late thanks to leaker Ice Universe, what one of the potential Galaxy Note9 colour schemes may look like in the proverbial flesh.
The leaked render appears to be what looks like something from the usual cavalcade of advertisements prepared in advance of a smartphone launch. In the case of the Galaxy Note9, the render reveals a phone in what seems to be a slightly deeper shade than their current Coral Blue finish along with, oddly enough, a gold coloured S Pen.
If the grapevine is to be believed, the phone will likely come in several other dual colour stylus/casing paint jobs that are akin to the ones on the Galaxy S9 with several other new ones added into the mix along with a rumoured brown hued variant.
Several other details can be inferred from the image which reveals the Note9’s backplate.
The base of the Note9 comes with the obligatory S Pen stylus well, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port for charging and docking duties. If it follows current form, it will likely have compatibility with this generation’s Dex Pad docking station.
The S Pen stylus itself has a clickable top and button on the side, much like the current one on the Note8. According to prior reports, the new S Pen stylus on the Galaxy Note9 will integrate Bluetooth support that will vastly expand its functionality to include music playback or to possibly manipulate other features on the phone.
Of more strategic interest is that the ad confirms the potential placement of the rear fingerprint reader just at the base of the horizontally mounted dual camera array. Conservative, yes but it’s a safe, proven design choice and for something as important as their uber business phone, it’s a given This generally jives with prior leaked renderings of the front and rear backplate. Still, all will be revealed this August 9 in New York but we’ll keep you posted if anything new develops in the meantime.
