realme C3 debuts in Malaysia at RM499
if you’re on the hunt for an affordable entry-level phone with a bit of punch, realme Malaysia has debuted their realme C3 workhorse phone at a rather affordable price tag while packing quite decent hardware under the hood, in particular a MediaTek Helio G70.
The realme C3 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a much smaller dewdrop cutout than usual to give it a very respectable 89.8% screen-to-body ratio.
Powering the phone is the aforementioned MediaTek Helio G70 processor which is built on a 12nm process. This is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The phone also runs Android 10 under the hood with the latest incarnation of their realme UI user interface.
The rear triple camera array consists of a primary 12-MP F/1.8 camera with PDAF, a secondary 2-MP macro camera and a 2-MP portrait camera. realme’s usual enhancements, including their Chroma Boost mode that bumps dynamic range is present and correct.
The front sports a 5-MP selfie camera with the usual beauty modes and a HDR mode.
Other mod-cons include a triple-card slot 2 SIM cards+ 1 microSD card), a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, facial recognition to unlock the phone and a humongous 5,000mAh battery. Oddly enough, it still retains the use of a microUSB port for charging and docking duties.
In Malaysia, the realme C3 comes in two colourways – Blazing Red and Frozen Blue. The phone will retail at RM499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The phone will arrive for sale first online as a Shopee exclusive on 3rd March from 6.00PM onwards. Better yet, there’s an RM20 Shopee voucher discount valid for today only if you hustle.
