Red Bull gives wings to ESL One Genting 2018

One of the world’s most prestigious gaming tournaments is taking place even now 5,700 feet about sea level at Malaysia’s famed mountain resort, the eponymous Resorts World Genting. Dozens of the planet’s best esportsmen along with thousands of cheering fans have gathered under one roof at the Arena of Stars for just one thing – the ESL One Genting 2018.

For the second time running, Red Bull Product of Europe is the official energy drink of the tournament and around the world for ESL One following ESL One Frankfurt and ESL One Cologne. Red Bull has also sponsored other prestigious esports events such as Red Bull Battle Grounds, Red Bull Player One and Red Bull Komite.

ESL One Genting is the first stop of the 2018 ESL One circuit and will see sixteen of the world’s best DOTA 2 teams compete for a prize pool of up to USD 400,000 (about RM1.5 million). The pool of competitors will consist of a host of elite teams such as the vaunted Team Liquid as well as up-and-comers like NewBee, Virtos Pro and Fnatic. Malaysia’s teams will also partake in the tournament with the likes of MidOne (Secret) and Nana (Fnatic) gunning their way to glory.

Red Bull, as the official energy drink of the tournament is collaborating with Acer Predator to entertain attendees with a host of activities including demo matches with local DOTA 2 personalities and, of course, refreshing samples of their beverages to keep the energy up.
