vivo V23 5G now available in Malaysia with a photochromatic finish for RM2,099

vivo has launched their latest smartphone in Malaysia dubbed the vivo V23 5G that notably features a photochromatic paint job on the backplate, a massive 50MP selfie camera array up front and 5G connectivity out of the box.

What is the vivo V23 5G

Perhaps the most unique aspect of the vivo V23 5G is its photochromatic backplate for the Sunshine Gold version that changes from a burnished rich bronze hue to a light pastel blue depending on how intense the sunlight is on the phone which makes for a very novel look.

Traditionalists can also avail themselves of the more conventional Stardust Black finish that doesn’t change colours and is instead a consistent, safe matte black hue.

Aesthetics aside, the vivo V23 5G features a 6.44-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage with a 4,200mAh battery keeping it powered with 44W fast charging support. The phone also has the option of using up to 4GB of built-in storage as supplemental vRAM to augment the existing physical RAM.

For image capture duties, the vivo V23 5G comes with a triple camera array with a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP wide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera while the front features a more powerful 50MP autofocus selfie camera paired with an 8MP wide angle camera.

In Malaysia, the vivo V23 5G costs RM2,099 and the RM558 in free gifts will be available from now until 14th February 2022 so you still have plenty of time.
