Latest Acer Swift Edge 16 SFE16-43 ultraportable features 120Hz OLED display and AMD Ryzen 7040 mobile CPUs

Ultraportables are currently one of the most sought after form factors in the market and the Acer Swift Edge 16 SFE16-43 quite literally edges out on account of its svelte design and performance but their latest refreshed variant looks to up the ante with better, more powerful hardware that features an all-AMD CPU and GPU design while retaining the same slim chassis that is just 12.95mm thin and weighing 1.23kg.

The refreshed Acer Swift Edge 16 SFE16-43 features a gorgeous 16-inch 3.2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut along with a 0.2ms response time, 500 nits peak brightness and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It also has TUV Rheinland Eyesafe certification vouches for reduced blue light exposure from the display during extended use.

Powering the laptop is an AND Ryzen 7040 processor with up to AMD Radeon 780M graphics as well as AMD Ryzen AI on selected models, up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage and support for next-generation WiFi 7 which has speeds up to 5.8GBps, under 2ms latency and multi-link capability.

On top of hardware, the revamped Acer Swift Edge 16 SFE16-43 also has a 1440 QHD webcam paired with Acer’s own Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) and Acer Purified Voice with AI tech for better visual and audio quality in video calls. 

In terms of I/O, the Acer Swift Edge 16 SFE16-43  features a pair of USB Type-A ports, a pair of USB 4 Type-C ports with 65W power delivery to charge the laptop, a HDMI 2.1 port and a microSD card reader.

According to Acer, the upgunned Swift Edge 16 SFE16-43 will be available in July 2023 at US$1,300 and in EMEA from EUR1,199. While no details on Acer Swift Edge 16 pricing, specifications or launch date are available in Malaysia for now, it will make an appearance at Acer’s booth at Computex 2023.
