Asus TUF Gaming F15 with 12th Gen Intel CPUs coming to Malaysia soon priced from RM5,299
Asus has revamped their tough yet affordable TUF Gaming laptop line for 2022 with the customary raft of CPU and GPU upgrades while remaining surprisingly affordable. Coming to Malaysia in March is the new Asus TUF Gaming F15 and TUF Gaming F17 which pack the latest Intel 12th Gen CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics.
For those looking for variants with AMD processors, Asus is also issuing the TUF Gaming A15 and TUF Gaming A17 series that use the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H mobile processor. Like its predecessors launched last year in 2021, the new TUF Gaming laptops have the same tough aesthetic with yellow highlights, matte finished top lids and angular chassis.
Asus TUF Gaming F15 specifications and price in Malaysia
The Asus TUF Gaming F15 comes in three possible variants which primarily differ in terms of what GPU they pack. The top of the line version, designated as the Asus TUF Gaming F15 FX507Z-MHN071W features a 15.6-inch Full HD 144Hz display with Adaptive-Sync and sRGH 62.5% colour gamut support.
Paired with this is the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H 2.3GHz processor, 16GB DDR5 RAM split into two RAM slots, a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD with a second spare SSD bay and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU with 6GB GDDR6 VRAM and 140W maximum graphic TGP with an MUX Switch + Optimus. Connectivity is suitably robust with fast WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 with the top-end variant powered by a 90Wh 4-cell Li-Ion battery. In Malaysia, this version costs RM6,499.
Slightly lower down the performance totem pole is the TUF Gaming F15 FX507Z-EHN055W variant which is otherwise identical in terms of processor and display but uses an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM with 95W Max TGP, 8GB DDR5 RAM with a spare RAM slot while retaining the same 512GB SSD with spare bay for upgrades as well as a slightly smaller 56Wh 4-cell Li-Ion battery. This version costs RM5,499.
The cheapest most affordable variant, designated as the TUF Gaming F15 FX507Z-CHN082W is similar to the FX507Z-EHN055W but swaps the GPU down to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM for RM200 less which puts it at just RM5,299. All three variants will arrive in Malaysia this coming March 2022.
A variant, dubbed the TUF Gaming F17 with a larger display is quite similar to the highest end F15 variant in terms of using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 6GB GDDR6 VRAM and 140W TGP, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 512GB SSD and a 12th Gen i7-12700H CPU but uses a larger 17.3-inch FHD 144Hz display. This larger beefier variant will arrive in April 2022 for RM6,699.
Asus TUF Gaming A15 and TUF Gaming A17 price and availability in Malaysia
Slated for a March 2022 arrival date, the Asus TUF Gaming A15 comes in four different possible variants that all use the same AMD Ryzen 7 6800H mobile processor. The highest end variant has a 15.6-inch 300Hz display with 300 nits peak brightness and 100% sRGB, 16GB DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD with a second spare SSD bay, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 6GB GDD6 VRAM and 140W TGP while packing a 90Wh 4-cell Li-ion battery. All this sets a user back by RM6,699.
Three other cheaper variants are available as well from RM4,999 for the cheapest version which has the same CPU but only has a lower refresh rate 15.6-inch FHD 144Hz 62.5% sRGB display, just 8GB RAM with a vacant RAM slot, a smaller 512GB SSD, an RTX 3050 with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM graphics with 95W TGP and a 56WHr 4-cell Li-Ion battery. All this pares the cost down to just RM4,999. Another variant has a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM and a similar 95W GPU for RM5,199.
