Nothing debuts stylish CMF Phone 1, Buds Pro 2 and Watch Pro 2 in Malaysia
Nothing sub-brand CMF which is actually a savvy industry nod to product designers that signify colour, materials and finish have launched a new line-up of offerings in Malaysia that consist of their CMF Phone 1 smartphone, the CMF Buds Pro 2 wireless earbuds and CMF Watch Pro 2 smartwatch that feature their own unique design flourishes.
CMF Phone 1 Malaysia specs and price
Angled as a budget phone, the CMF Phone 1 has a unique take on its design as it has a variety of swappable backplate with different colourways along with optional accessories that you can add on that include a wallet, integrated kickstand and a lanyard to further augment the phone.
In terms of hardware, this Android phone straddles the line between entry-level to midrange with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ LTPS display that has a 120hz adaptive refresh rate, a quoted 2,000 nits peak brightness and 960Hz PWM frequency.
Powering the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset with a 5G modem paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of expandable storage via a microSD card. Overlaying Android 14 is their own Nothing OS with 2 guaranteed years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates.
The rear cameras consist of a 50MP F/1.8 camera using a Sony sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor along with a front-facing 16MP selfie camera. Keeping the phone powered is a 5,000mAh battery. In Malaysia, the CMF Phone1 is priced at RM1,099 with either a light green or black colourway.
Optional backplates in different colours can be purchased at RM99 while the kickstand, card case and lanyard each retail for RM59. For a limited time, those who purchase the CMF PHone 1 will get a free additional case for free while stocks last.
CMF Watch Pro 2 and CMF Buds Pro 2 Malaysia specs and price
The CMF Watch Pro 2 has a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with 100 selectable watch faces and supports 120 sports tracking modes including automatic tracking of five activities. It also offers 24/7 monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and stress levels.
Other features include the ability to make and take calls off a paired phone, notifications and acting as a viewfinder for a paired smartphone camera. Of note is that the case itself is IP68 dust and water resistant and it offers up to 11 days of usage on a single charge.
The CMF Buds Pro 2 are notably different from competing designs as it has a volume control dial on the charging case itself with the earbuds packing a 6mm tweeter and 11mm bass driver each for richer sound.
The CMF Buds Pro 2 also support LDAC tech, have Spatial Audio effects for three dimension sound with supported content, are certified for Hi-Res Audio Wireless and Dirac Opteo too along with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation that can nullify up to 50 dB of external sound.
On paper, CMF quotes 43 hours of battery life in total including the charging case. In Malaysia, the CMF Watch Pro 2 retails for RM339 while the Buds Pro 2 costs RM299.
