Emirates SkyCargo expands cargo corridors into East and Southeast Asia, now offering 21,000 tonnes weekly cargo capacity

Emirates SkyCargo has expanded their cargo corridors across East and Southeast Asia. Riding on the launch of passenger services to Hangzhou, China, Emirates SkyCargo is now able to offer over 21,000 tonnes of weekly tonnage, further expanding global trade with the ability to deliver cargo to over 145 destinations across the globe.

Emirates SkyCargo now serves 25 gateways across 12 countries and territories in East and Southeast Asia, and offers the largest and most diversified route network of any non-Asian airline. With the high-frequency flight schedule, an Emirates aircraft takes off from East or Southeast Asia approximately every half hour.

On average, Emirates SkyCargo uplifts up to 1,300 tons of eCommerce cargo, 150 tons of perishables, 100 tonnes of pharmaceuticals and 75 tonnes of electronics per week.

Launched in 2002, Emirates SkyCargo debuted with freighter services between Dubai and Shanghai, predating passenger operations by 18 months. In 2025, Emirates SkyCargo launched a weekly freighter to Narita International Airport before adding the Hangzhou hub to their network.
