Emmanuel Frenehard joins iflix as CTO

Newcomer iflix has grown from strength to strength with an emerging library of solid titles for streaming that offer a curated mix of both international and regional content that cater to local tastes combined with innovative features like the ability to download videos for off-line viewing; a necessity seeing the spotty internet connections in emerging regions where iflix has extensive market share. Now, they’ve added the equivalent of an all-star quarterback to their management team that aims to take them to the next level.

Joining the iflix team is Emmanuel Frenehard as Chief Technology Officer effective January 2017. Previously, Frenehard was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Office for Walt Disney International where he spearheaded operations across all subsidiaries for Walt Disney in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Frenehard was influential in launching Disney’s direct-to-consumer DisneyLife digital subscription service.
