Erato’s next-gen wireless Apollo 7 earphones land in Malaysia

Apple’s mandate that testicular fortitude is needed to omit the headphone jack in their iPhone 7 has seen the proliferation of a slew of wireless buds and cans that aim to top Apple’s AirPods. Erato’s wireless Apollo 7 headphone is the latest contender and it looks like the coolest thing on the audio front so far
when it made its rounds on the showroom floor at CES 2017.

Hailing from Taiwan, newcomer Erato bills its magnum opus the Apollo 7 as the world’s most compact wireless headphones. Each earbud is barely larger than the size of a thimble and fits without need for wires into each earbud and weighs a mere 4g. To offer a better, more secure fit, it comes with an array ofheat-activated memory foam ear buds that expands to form a tight fitting audio seal. Each earbud is also rated IPX5 for water resistance so it’ll shrug off the odd splash or two.

To pair up to an audio source, the Apollo 7 uses Bluetooth 4.1 with support for an array of the most popular codecs including aptX, AAC and SBC. The earbuds aren’t just there for music playback; one bud has a multifunctional button to control music playback, voice commands on Siri or Google Now and it even has a dMEMs mike built-in to act as a hands-free solution.

To charge it up, you bung both of the earphones into a slide-out case with a full charge offering about 3 hours of music play time. For now, the Apollo 7 is available in Malaysia for RM1,799 via TC Acoustic. For more details swing by their website here.Erato’s next-gen wireless Apollo 7 earphones land in Malaysia 2.
