Hisense introduces limited edition World Cup U9A, U7A and Laser TV to Malaysia
The World Cup is just around the corner and telly purveyor Hisense aims to allow Malaysians to watch the beautiful game in all its glory as they’ve just taken the wraps off their Limited Edition World Cup U9A and U7A as well as the rather novel Laser TV.
The Hisense Laser TV aka the LN60D is somewhat unusual as it doesn’t rely on a traditional backlit panel to display imagery. Instead, the whole affair consists of a boxy looking short-throw projector that displays luscious 4K HDR imagery onto a 100-inch passive projection screen. Hisense has integrated a number of their own proprietary tech into the projector and panel itself to offer more natural colours and a vivid, theatre-like experience too.
The Laser TV runs on Hisense’s own VIDAA U user interface that has a bevy of all the usual streaming apps, has Wi-Fi connectivity and also an integrated TV tuner too in case you deign to watch terrestrial telly. The light source is rated for over 20,000 hours, which ought to let you view Game of Thrones in in its entirety back to back several times. It also has a four-speaker 110W audio system augmented by a beefy subwoofer tuned by JBL (or Harman Kardon depending on market) which ought to make movies a treat.
The Hisense Limited Edition World Cup U9A Smart TV is a 75-inch behemoth with a metal bezel and frame with a Quantum Dot ULED Ultra HD resolution panel with 1000 individually controlled dimming zones and 2500-nit peak brightness to playback 4K HDR imagery onscreen. It’s also Ultra HD Premium certified for colour reproduction, brightness and clarity by the UHD Alliance. In keeping with its aegis as sports oriented telly, the U9A also has Ultra Motion Plus tech to reduce motion trail and a dedicated ‘Sports Mode’ that allows for a more immersive, enjoyable viewing experience. It also runs their VIDAA U Smart TV operating system under the hood and has Wi-Fi connectivity to access all the usual streaming and content aggregation apps.
The slightly pared down Hisense Limited Edition World Cup U7A telly has a 65-inch ELED panel with Ultra HD resolution as well as a cornucopia of technologies to offer smooth, slick and luscious images onscreen to the tune of HDR10 support. It also sports Dolby Audio and dbx-tv support on the integrated dual 10W speakers for some cracking good audio. And yes, like its siblings it also has their VIDAA U OS running under the hood.
The 75-inch Hisense U9A is available at a retail price of RM19,999, the 65-inch Hisense U7A retails for RM6,999 and the Hisense 100-inch 4K UHD Smart Laser TV retails for RM39,999. For more details check out their official website here.
