Huawei Nova 5T makes appearance at KLFW 2019
The glam and glitz of the ongoing Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week certainly makes for quite a spectacle as Malaysian designers debut their latest fashions on the catwalk at Pavilion mall and Huawei also took to the catwalk to debut their own new smartphone – the nova 5T.
In order to give it the proper gravitas, Huawei showcased the nova 5T as part of a fashion show with garments that were created by Malaysian designers as models held the new phone and paraded down the catwalk. Huawei also unveiled the new logo for their nova series phones which has the letters of the brand arranged in a square-shaped monogram.
As expected, the nova 5T wasn’t available for closer inspection but seeing it on the catwalk and under a glass case after the fashion show confirmed several facts.
In terms of form factor, it somewhat resembles the Honor 20 with its upper left punch hole Fullview display and vertically aligned camera array on the rear upper left of the phone.
The Huawei nova 5T features a punchhole cutout in the upper left corner for the selfie camera. The right side features a power button that doubles as a fingerprint reader paired with a volume rocker.
The rear comes with a quad camera array though we weren’t able to get a closer look. In terms of colour options, the Huawei nova 5T will come in three colour options – a metallic looking black, blue and purple.
There’s no word on price or availability yet but there will be a full-on media launch this coming 27 August where the phone will be revealed in all its glory. We’ll keep you updated as we get more details.
