Klipsch T5 True Wireless earbuds aim to rock your world
As a brand name, Klipsch is murmured in reverent tones by audiophiles who appreciate good audio quality and, in particular for headphone and earbud users, for offering exceptional comfort with their uniquely shaped earbuds and lushly padded cans. Rather than churning out a slew of products every year, Klipsch has taken their time to craft top-shelf ones as their newly launched Klipsch T5 True Wireless Earbuds would attest to.
The Kipsch T5 True Wireless are the brand’s first wireless earbuds and they have lavished it with an impressive level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. While many wireless earbud casings look like dinky plastic containers with earbuds that resemble toothbrushes sticking out of your ears, the T5 True Wireless earbuds have a casing hewn of metal that resembles a premium Zippo lighter sporting a polished metal finish and the Klipsch logo emblazoned on the side.
Flip the case open and you reveal a pair of earbuds that use Klipsch’s legendary contoured oval ear tips that offer exceptional comfort even after hours of use.
Each earbud integrates a 5mm full bass dynamic moving coil micro speaker that integrates Qualcomm aptX and AAC codecs for superior audio reproduction on top of rich bass as well as Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to pair up with your phone or other audio kit.
The Klipsch T5 Wireless Earbuds also allow you to take calls and has digital assistant support for all the usuals including Siri and Google Assistant with two speakers per ear bud for a total of four with one pair dedicated to noise cancellation with the other to pick up your voice to ensure clear nattering even amidst background noise.
To keep things juiced, each earbud has a 60mAh battery that allows you for 8 hours of battery life and the case packs a 300mAh battery that works out to an additional 24 hours of use which gives them exceptional endurance in the field. Of note is that the earbuds are also IPX4 rated so they’re effectively sweatproof.
The Klipsch T5 True Wireless will launch first in Singapore at SGD349 and can be purchased at Challenger by this week as an exclusive until 5 July 2019 over the Causeway. For our side of the pond in Malaysia, the official distributors of Klipsch, Tat Chuan Acoustic have slated the launch to be sometime in July 2019 with a price tag of RM1,099.
