Mercedes-Benz Protection Programme adds awesome Star Protect and Star Protect Plus insurance and takaful solutions

Mercedes-Benz Protection under the Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia (MBSM) has deployed two new insurance and takaful solutions dubbed Star Protect and Star Protect Plus to provide Mercedes-Benz owners with superior coverage and peace of mind with a host of extra benefits.

The improved Star Protect and Star Protect Plus programmes include coverage for all drivers of a car, both individually and company owned even if the driver’s name is not stated during the submission process. Other benefits include a beefed up towing assistance programme that includes unlimited distance for breakdowns and accidents with one-way toll charges up to RM30 included in the package along with up to six tows in the event of a flood, 24-hour minor roadside repairs and assistance. Customers only need to pay if these benefits are used.

Through our customer-centric approach, not only have we widened our insurance partner base, we deep dived into our current offerings in order to develop a more comprehensive motor insurance coverage for Mercedes-Benz owners,” said Mike Ponnaz, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Services Malaysia (MBSM).

Other additional perks include free car key replacement, compensation for loss of possessions if you encounter a window snatch theft incident, personal accident coverage for the driver and up to 4 passengers and more.

Another particularly desirable perk is the privilege of a temporary Mercedes-Benz replacement ride for up to 20 days per period of insurance if the insured car goes to an authorised Mercedes-Benz workshop for repairs.

To underwrite the extensive Star Protect and Star Protect Plus programmes, Mercedes-Benz Protection has selected five new underwriters – Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad, AmGeneral Insurance Berhad, MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd, Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Zurich General Takaful Malaysia Berhad.
