Honor 400 series on preorder in Malaysia; prices start from RM1,899

Honor has officially launched their titular Honor 400 series which consists of the Honor 400 Pro and Honor 400 in Malaysia with preorders that start from the 22nd all the way to 29th May 2025 with prices that start from RM1,899. The Honor 400 series are notably the first phones to have an AI Image to Video generation feature baked on top of the usual Google Gemini embellishments and have several improvements over their predecessor the Honor 200 including better cameras, displays and, of course, performance as well as the aforementioned AI Image to Video feature. In terms of pricing, the higher end Honor 400 Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is available priced at RM2,699 with RM1,097 in free gifts that consist of an Instax Mini LiPlay and an additional 1 year of extended warranty. The Honor 400 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is available priced at RM1,899 while the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version retails for RM2,199. For a limited time during the preorder period, customers can simply pay the price of the 256GB version and enjoy a free upgrade to the 512GB variant. The Honor 400 will also come with free gifts worth RM898 for customers that include an Honor Choice active noise cancelling headphone and an additional 1 year extended warranty. The Honor 400 series can be preordered on their official Honor website, Honor Experience stores nationwide and authorised partners including Harvey Norman, Senheng, SenQ and Urban Republic. Honor 400 series specs In terms of hardware, the Honor 400 Pro has a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate as well as 5,000 nits peak brightness. The Honor 400 has a slightly smaller 6.55-inch AMOLED display with 2,763 x 1,264 pixels resolution and a similar 120hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness as the Pro version. Powering the Honor 400 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, effectively last year’s flagship chipset while the Honor 400 runs the workhorse Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 CPU. Both the Pro and standard versions come with 12GB RAM while the Pro maxes it out with only a 512GB configuration for storage whereas the standard version has your option of 256GB or 512GB storage. Running under the hood of both phones is the latest Android 15 as well as their own MagicOS 9.0 UI overlay. As mentioned earlier, the Honor 400 series are the first phones to feature an AI Image to Video feature co-developed with Google Cloud that are able to animate photos into short 5-second clips. For imaging duties, both phones are built around a 200MP F/1.9 main camera with a 1.1.4” sensor as well as OIS paired with a 12MP F/2 ultrawide angle camera that also has OIS. Where the Pro differs is that it has an additional 50MP F/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x zoom that uses the Sony IMX856 sensor. Up front, both phones have a single 50MP F/2.0 camera for mugshots and video calls. Both phones feature a 6,000mAh battery with the Honor 400 featuring 80W wired charging while the Honor 400 Pro can support 100W wired charging speeds as well as wireless charging.
