Own the Huawei P9 for a song and RM76 via U Mobile’s U Package plan

Huawei’s P9 is a highly capable flagship phone that comes with quite a reasonable price tag for what it offers – it retails at RM2,099 in the open market which is quite a deal for its capabilities, in particular it’s dual camera setup that’s been tweaked by Leica. Now, you can get it for a song.

Well, a song and RM76 if you sign up for U Mobile’s expanded U Package postpaid plan that is. Basically, you fork out RM76 per month for 24 months and sign up for their P50, P70 or their P98 postpaid package. The lowest commitment you have to fork out for a P9 phone combined with their P50 plan is RM126 per month (RM76 for the phone and RM50 for the plan) which offers up 5GB of high speed data, an additional 5GB for their Video Onz streaming programme, 50 minutes of free voice calls to all networks and texts at 8sen/SMS to other networks.

Previously, the device bundling installment plan was only open to various iPhone models though they have just recently expanded it to encompass not just the Huawei P9 but the mainstream honor 4C and the Honor 5x too. The Honor 4C costs a mere RM10 extra per month when tied into the plan while the Honor 5X costs an extra RM34 per month.

Getting started with the paperwork to snag your own P9 is relatively easy. All you have to do is to swing by your nearest U Mobile store, show your last three monthly postpaid bills along with your ID, pick your plan and then fork out the cash and away you go.
