Samsung updates details on Galaxy Note7 returns for travellers at KLIA and KLIA2

If you’re an owner of a Galaxy Note7 owner in Malaysia and are about to head off on a flight and fretting over what to do since it’s been recently banned on several airlines, you’re in luck. Technically speaking, it’s still allowed on a flight, except that you have to keep it powered off and on your immediate person according to Malaysia’s DCA.

The more prudent measure though would be to return it. Samsung has established a series of exchange booths at all major airports worldwide and they’ve just set up one at KLIA and KLIA 2. At KLIA, the booth is located at Level 5, Main Terminal (beside the Emirates ticketing counter) while at KLIA 2, it’s at the Mezzanine Level, Departure Hall, Sector 2.28733167274_aa359f236a_o

At the booth, you basically fill in your details and have the option to transfer all your data to a microSD card when you return your Note7. You can also request for a loan device as well.

If you’re an international user who purchased their Note7 elsewhere, you’ll be given an official receipt and contact details for the Samsung Careline in your home country for further details on the return process as it varies from country to country. For more details, please logon to to Samsung’s official site here. For additional details on the exchange process for buyers in Malaysia, swing by their official update page here.
